Just finished. It had about a half inch of slack so 3 small zip ties. Pretty good improvement on response

Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought you were going to replace the cable itself.

I'd the green piece with the spring supposed to be loose or in the arm that is attached to the pedal? Mine is loose and others appear to be attached to the arm thanks.

A little loose to allow for thermal contraction/expansion. Take the plastic guard off under the hood and have someone else hold the gas pedal to the floor. Then manually see if the throttle is wide open under the hood. You want your adjustment to just barely achieve WOT or you'll just stretch the cable even more or worse yet you could end up adjusting the idle by having it too tight.

I literally just went outside at 10:50 pm with a flashlight, zip ties and cutters. My 94 has 111,500 miles on it and holy crap!! It's like a new car. I can get WOT now and boy does it get out of it's own way now!! Took 3 zip ties.

I just went outside and had a big zip-tie that did the trick! Almost might be too big for the spot, but it's an instant difference! The going is right when you touch the pedal, so that'll be something to get used to!

I have a lot of play in my throttle but it still goes to full throttle when it is pressed all the way, would it hurt if I did this mod? I don't know if I should do it if I can still achieve full throttle.

I originally tried the zipty but found a lead split shot works alot better. For those that dont know a lead split shot is a small lead weight used on fishing line, Works great!
