Re: How to: Rear disc brake conversion for stock Ranger rear end
There is still one question I have, I installed the rear disk brakes at the start of of the 2010 summer. After installing them and putting the wheels back on I noticed there was a small gap that was not allowing the center hub of the axle to fit into the center hole of the wheel, it seemed like something was keeping the rim surface about a 1/4 inch above the surface of the hub itself, anyone else have this problem, and a possible remedy??

Re: How to: Rear disc brake conversion for stock Ranger rear end
only problem i could think of would be the hub being to big for the rim center cap i know the newer 4x4 rims have a center hole thats smaller then the older 4x4 but it should clear it so idk

heat up the carrier where the threads are located on the bolt. it should come out easy after that the locktite will be loose enough. buy a new bolt from the dealer there about $5 if that much. I replace mine everytime I pull it just because

Re: How to: Rear disc brake conversion for stock Ranger rear end
FYI for any one doing this mod, Currie sells soft brake lines that adapt from the 10mm banjo bolt on the caliper to the 3/16 hard line. I just got a set to clean up my install.

Re: How to: Rear disc brake conversion for stock Ranger rear end
So to remove everything from a mustang, must the axles be pulled out? I guess I need to know what to bring with me to the bone yard monday.

I had rubbing issues on my GT disc setup with the stock 14" rims. I had to "upgrade" to 15" rims for clearance.
