I just used the rubber mustang brake lines. Bought them at the local auto parts. Bought a right side and a left side just like I was changing them on a mustang

That worked fine? Don't need swap lines?

You can either get shorter lines or bend your old ones to get rid of some length. I just bought two short lines at the auto store.

These are the ones I used I think http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS-Performan...ductId=1682813
Any chance you can verify if those are the ones you used..would like to order but seems like none of auto parts stores near me have any of the bolt and fitting specs for the stang caliper

I'm wondering about the master also. I'm cleaning and painting my calipers and stuff this weekend. Hopefully get all installed soon.

Look through the tread guys. I have pictures and info on everything
yes I would get an explorer mc. You can see the proportion valve below. Such a restriction of brake fluid to the rear

What year is your truck? My 01 doesn't have a proportioning valve like that either. From what I've read in the service book it appears that the 01 + models don't have a traditional proportioning valve because they have Electronic Brake Force Distribution which is managed automatically by the ABS computer. When I did mine I didn't change the master cylinder.

Yes, really. The brake pedal feels like it goes down a little more than with the drums, but it does stop better and it's quite possible to kick in the anti-lock if you jump on the brakes.

I can't seem to find the technical description in my service manual right now but this is from car and driver "There are safety improvements on the 2001 Ranger as well. Larger front rotors help stop two-wheel-drive models, and four-wheel ABS is now standard equipment across the line, acting in concert with electronic brake-force distribution, which provides dynamic pressure proportioning between the front and rear wheels."
