Yea they haven't leaked at all so I'm guessing I am good to go . We'll she how they do when I hook my 5,000lbs or so trailer up to it once the warm weather comes around. And to Rangermn2008XL As long as it fits the guidelines in the original post you are good to go. Go through and read all the stuff that is on this Thread. ALOT of info and help where to get all the parts. I will suggest do not use used Calibers (as they are usually bad),Rotors (you can get new ones for like nothing), Pads (again you can get them cheap), or Brake lines (never use used brake lines very unsafe imo). Just my 2 cents

Don't 5 speeds still have the pedal for the parking brake?

Yes but it uses the drum brakes as the parking brake so if I convert to disc brakes how will my parking brake work

You just hook up the parking brake to the new caliper.

In my pictures you can see where I put the parking brake. There is a spot for them. I am not sure how they go though. I kinda just stuck / hooked them up. I never use them and never plan to. I have an auto so it's no problem for me. You can see in this picture how I have it. Not sure if it goes that way or the other way

Am I completely off base by asking if there's a difference between a Mustang G/T and a mustang V6?

There is no difference. Only difference is with the cobra ones. V6 and Gt are the exact same things

Picked up a 94-98 axle from the salvage yard today. $100
1. I thought the calipers might be seized. Turns out they have to be turned clockwise to compress. I haven't done this but just in case they are seized, can they be rebuilt?
2. I changed my differential fluid about 6 months ago. Knowing that, would you cut the ranger backing plate off or drain the differential and waste the new diff oil?

Yes they have rebuild kits for them. I changed my diff fluid about 6 months ago before I just did mine. I thought about the same thing. I didn't want to blow the money I just spent on the High dollar royal purple diff fluid I put in so I cut the backing plates off. It was not hard at all to do that way imo. Same amount of time either way. The only other factor I took in to account was if the axle seals were leaking which they weren't. If all that checks out I would leave all that alone and cut the suckers off. Just my thought

I just went out and my calipers turned. I took off the bleeder valve and cleaned everything out good with brake cleaner. I don't suppose there's any way to test them before I go any further?
What did you cut the backing plate with. I use a saws all for everything but I don't want to over do it lol.
