Just found the awnser on page 1, silly me! Thanks for the great write up! Do these lines work with the v6/gt calipers also?

By the way, those lines aren't for a Cobra, they're for an Explorer (they'll still work, however).
But the part number is CE-6013E, for those looking for that part in particular.

there is two kits listed. One is for the Exploder, one for the Cobra. I have GT brakes. I just want to know which one will work. I can't down my truck and pray it will work, since it's the only vehicle I have in TN at the moment. Anyone know?

Re: How to: Rear disc brake conversion for stock Ranger rear end
explorer kit will only work if you have a 31 spline axle. so unless you have replaced your axle Richard you need the mustang GT or cobra set up

you still have your original axles which your wheel studs are mounted too...
and mustangs are 5x4.5 thats why it works
----------
you can also use the stock mustang soft lines if you pulled them from the junk yard till you get what lines you want just need the small adapter that is like $0.50 from any parts store

I'm setting this bitch up with the GT brakes, I just need to know if the Currie kit will work with the GT brakes, even though it says Cobra lol Or go get the bad adapter.

how in hell is the adapter bad? drove a year with no issues. I now have breaded stainless lines on the rear and only one side needed an adapter

I'm not saying the adapter is bad. I would just rather limit the spots for leakage! I drive the bastard a lot, and I can't afford to have my brakes go out on me for any where longer then to do the swap

Alright, dumb question of the day...what's the adapter size then? You are running stock Ranger lines, or the Mustang lines? Other then the one you changed to the braided

I had stock 3/16 hard lines coming from the distribution block that went into the adapter that went into the soft mustang brake lines. I couldnt say off hand what thread the mustang is i know one side of the adapter is male on the mustang side. all you have to do is take the line up to any auto parts store and they will have it, the adapter is common

Good to know on the adapter. The hardlines and softlines you robbed from the Stang or the Stang lines fit the stock hardlines? I am thinking the later is what you ment.
