i have an 07 3.0.. had heat in the spring, now none..
only the in hose was hot, i unhooked the vacum line to the switch now both hoses are hot, but no heat blows inside. any ideas??

Is the air blowing and it is just not getting hot? Or is the air not blowing? Or, try this, see if the air is just all blowing out the defroster. With the vacuum line disconnected, the vents will failover to the defrost only mode. Also, it sounds like the control knob is fucked up if you had it on and valve was remaining closed.

I just did the blend door actuator on my 08, not going to lie it was a bitch of a thing to get at, I even got the screw in the back all back in! That was the worst part of the job!

i have air blowing, but only cold air, i moved the control knob to heat then cold, didnt hear a door open or shut, had my hand over the blend door actuator didnt feel anything.
dont mind gettin new parts, but hate to spend money and something i dont need..

thanks, just out of curiosity, if i took the blend door actuator off, connected the plug back in, and moved the control knob, i should see if the actuator is workin, right??
if not should be the control swich from hot to cold then..

Yes you should see it move. But it's probably going to be the actuator, not the temp knob causing the problem.

Pull it out plug it in and see if it moves, if not then there's your issue, don't go to ford for it tho, it's 138 bucks just for that part....

i pulled it out, and YES that back bolt was a PITA, modified a tool to make it work.
plugged it in, didnt move, so i got one coming from Pep Boys, $40..

Ok so I'm sure its the actuator from using your flow-chart but i dont know how to get the thing out. I can't fit anything behind it for the rear screw. any ideas on how to get it off?
