I've got the new tail lights.
I've got a "T" trailer harness on my truck.
I've bought a Hopkins 5 to 4 wire converter.

Can someone draw a diagram? No dark under truck photos. No vague instructions. Just a simple diagram and I can figure it out from there.

Yeah, my lights seem to do the correct operations.

BUT, the turn signals act weird. It's like they have to 'charge' up to give full brightness. They start out dim, then with each flash they get brighter

Wish I could figure that one out.

might be the flasher do you have a heavy duty one?

I honestly don't remember if it's heavy duty. Just that it's an EP27 flasher. I'm thinking that it might have something to do with a lack of grounding somewhere. Like maybe I need to hook the ground output of the Converter, to the ground of the bulb socket. Dunno, I'll work it out one day.

If not, then I'll just go back to 3 bulb setup. I have a unibit that I could use to drill out and use the empty spot on the housing.

Just went back to the 3 bulb set up. My third time taking the truck for a drive, since I did this (truck's not a daily driver, maybe once a month) the flasher got stuck. Signals would just stay on.

I used the unibit to drill out the bottom empty housing to the right size, then used a diamond tip bit on a dremel to cut the locking tab slots. Then wired it back to stock. Also, took out the ruined flasher and put the stock one back in.

Have to say, I actually prefer the 3 bulb set up. The turn signal seems alot brighter, and more noticeable now that its not sharing the brake light.
