if i do this and run through some large puddles and get mudd and water shot up in the engine bay with i have an issue with it sucking in water or mudd and stuff?

Just did this today, took me maybe 5 minutes if that, I noticed a difference immediately when I got on the road, mostly the responsiveness and quickness from the start

if i do this and hit some water will the water be sucked in and mess up the engine?

You would have to be submerged to do major damage...you should be fine as long as the intake doesn't go underneath water. But like rain and some little splashes should be fine.

So for this mod, after you take the snorkel out, and after you put the bottom of the air bos back in and the K&N filter, do you leave the top open? or do you put the top of the box back on?

Given that it is called a SILENCER........... it is for making the intake quieter. Which is why removing it does nothing but make the intake louder. It has nothing to do with performance.

Wouldnt it still create a little bit less restriction of the air coming in? Just wondering. I mean I know its not a major performance mod. But just the amount of air would be greater than with the silencer in. right?

Nope. Any resistance that thing adds is too minute to change anything. Nothing but cool noise.

i did this today and the throttle cable mod and found that the throttle cable mod is harder than this is

I bet...trying to figure how to get to it is a bit tricky and kinda painful lol
