Is this supposed to be a question or a statement?

I just want to know before I take things apart.

Your not removing the air box your simply removing the snorkel which restricts air flow

When you remove the snorkel it allows more air to flow through

Is it worth it? only modding I want to do is for MPG, Not HP. I have a 2000 4.0 V6.

Are you suggesting the "snorkle" is the CAI?

Blueovalboy did this to his 2008 2.3L 5speed added a drop in K&N filter also has a flowmaster exhaust and gets 30 mpg

I would suggest to do this and if you dont like it you can change it back to stock.

Dont forget that turbonator in the intake tube. It will get you another 20 MPG!

My truck has the passenger side head light broken, so I guess I'll try that free mod... no harm can come from that.. Good thing my air filter box is similar to STL's
