To be honest the noise gain and performance gain is going to be very minimal. If you think about it the hole isnt really big enough to suck enough air in to make alot of noticeable HP increase.

If you want the sound you should get a CAI. My K&N sucks so much damn air in when I mash it. Its impressive.

A hole 2 feet in diameter isn't going to suck in any more air either.

Other than a slightly different intake sound, yes.

The reason why it is "louder" is because the air is turning around sharper corners. When air makes a sharp turn it makes that "swoosh" fast noise. If you want to see what I mean go get your "shop vac" and put your hand in different positions infront of the hose and you will hear the noise change.

You will gain absolutely nothing other than sound by doing this.

Even though that's absolutely correct, you're fighting a losing battle here.

forgot to upload em lol.

my 2.3 liter I4 lima engine... no hozzpowaz

the clean part of the intake tube is the "muffler", i didnt remove mine, but thats what it looks li ke

and this is how to remove your baffle!

unclip the band holding the filter box together, pull the filter out, move the rest of the intake off to the side

its a couple plastic grommets you can pull out, and your intake will look like this after you pull the box out

i previously removed my baffle, wich i cant find lol, but it would be attached to the side of the filter box that was bolted to the inner fender

(red cicle is where its attached, the baffle sits between the inner fender well and your fender)

put you intake back together, attach it back to the inner fender and your done.

So does this actually help air move? would it be a cheaper, less beneficial version of a K&N?

K&N isnt really in my budget unless I'm looking at the wrong ones.
