You can do it without power doors, but with them you don't have to run the power wire through your door loom. Its just more self contained with power doors. And you can only do this for the drivers side because that is the only side that has constant power.

You can still do it with manual mirrors they were just using the power mirrors power for the 12v needed

I did mine but FYI we weren't thinking and in plugged the wires from the senser and tapped into the wrong wire because we were getting door closed readings instead of door open. Easy fix but we just weren't thinking lol.

How did you fish your wire though the hose mine kept hitting this rubber like insalator and the park break was in the way of the rubber crap

Pulled the rubber hose out of its spot pulled wire though put rubber tube back in place

When you open one door do both sides puddle lights come on or only the side where the door is open?

if you wire it up the way shown only the door that is open will come on

wired them as shown and to a fused constant power. they will be off when you close the doors come on hours later very dim though so there not gettin all the juice.
