I'm on my phone and can't read through all the replies.. So question: I make a sharp turn, and lose my brakes for a minute.. How do I fix this? Longer flex lines? I did the grinding part but it's really not safe, the way my brakes are lol.
Anyone had this before?

There's two brackets on the spindle? Don't quote me on that. But they're white brackets that hold the brake line. Take the brake line out of one of the brackets to give it some slack and you should be good

There was a bracket on each side of the frame.. I took that out, and it still happens.

Would longer flex lines help or no?

When I did mine I relocated the brackets lower on the frame. I did a full turn both ways to tet and it had plenty of play. Are you sure you grinded the bump stop nub off?

I know I did, but maybe not all the way. I'll have to look at it this weekend and check it out.

I'd try just turning full lock and then getting under the truck to see whats touching/stressed.

I ground off my bump stop off the LCA as well as moved the brake line bracket and I still lose brakes at full lock. Over the next few weeks I will be installing new longer stainless hoses to combat this. Pretty sure the hose just gets stretched too far at full lock which is the problem.

I'm thinking new brake lines too..

Now the problem is.. My ball joints are falling out of their sockets?! I took it in to a family friends shop for an alignment.. My ball joints are effed. I'm like Ok.. I just did the driver side one at the same time of the lift. He said that one is toast too. He said basically as soon as I take the pressure off the wheel(jacking it up or flex too much) and the ball joint falls out of its socket. He said I need to look into maybe a linger ball joint shaft? I'm taking it to another shop I've been highly recommended too tomorrow to see what he says. I know a spindle lift is hard in parts.. But I got 5 days out of a ball joint? How is that right at all and he says no ball joint will last once I jack the truck up to change tires or whatever.

Thoughts anyone? I'm getting annoyed now..

Wow, I have heard of BJs going faster, but that shouldn't happen 5 days in. Quick question though, did you crank your t-bars? If you did, how much? If you cranked them alot, it would put more stress on the BJs. Still shouldnt blow through them in 5 days. AFAIK, the geometry of the suspension should not change when doing just spindles alone. All you are essentially doing is lowering where the wheel mounts to the spindle.

My tbars are cranked about an inch.. Should I drop them?! I just looked at it.. I have like an 1/8thinch clearance between the aram where the ball joint is and the spindle.. Like I'm talking 3 pumps of a jack and the 2 are touching. That's not right is it?

Has anyone had problems with shops saying the can't get the alignment perfect? I took my truck in yesterday and they said the tie rods were on to extreme angles to get the alignment perfect. I thought the spindles kept factory angles pretty well.

Yes. My truck was left with a 2deg negative camber.. Toe was fine but caster/camber wasnt able to be adjusted. Although theyre supposed to be close to factory they may be a slight bit off too. It will most likely depend on the manufacturers tolerance when machining and also your trucks specific geometry. I'm an engineering major, after taking statics, dynamics and mechanics of materials, it starts to make a lot more sense lol
