Re: How To: Instrument cluster bulb replacement
I've been looking around not sure which is correct. If I change my lights in the instrument cluster to red do I have to scrape off that green layer/tint or can I just plug them in and it will leave my dash lights red if any one has pictures that would be awesome.

Re: How To: Instrument cluster bulb replacement
Gotta take off the overlays and use real fine sand paper don't go to hard just real soft.
On the back side is where the green is.

Re: How To: Instrument cluster bulb replacement
Ok and by the overlay you mean the glass part of the dash correct? Also if I were to do this would my gauges be off or is that if I only mess with the needles?

Re: How To: Instrument cluster bulb replacement
Not trying to change the flow of things, but, I changed out my dash lights to buggman leds the other day. The stock bulbs are pretty hard to get out of the sockets, but, I had a brainstorm. I used one of those grippy things from the kitchen, to get a good grip on the bulb, and pulled them right out. It's one of those rubbery little round things, that is used to increase grip on jar lids, etc. Don't try needle nose pliers, I'll tell you right now, you'll break the bulb!

Re: How To: Instrument cluster bulb replacement
Does this 194LL-bulb go by any other names? A quick search on my available shops here in Norway shows nothing.
