here is the mod for turning your dull third brake light/cargo light into a full brake light. if youre like me and you dont use your cargo lights then this is an awesome mod and adds a lil more safety to your vehicle

tools needed: wire cutters
phillips head screw driver
t tap
time

first thing you need to do is take the screws(2) out of the light to take it off, there is one on each side

next step is to pull the light out you will see three bulbs, the two on outside are cargo lights, youwill see three wires coming out of the connector, mine was green(for brake light), black(ground) and then a black one with a red stripe(for cargo lights)

you will need to cut the black one with the stripe that comes from the connector at the base of the connector so youll have as much wire a possible

then once that is done you will need to t-tap that wire into the green wire

then once that is done it will look like this

once you done all that, then sit the light on the roof and get in your truck and foot ya foot on the brake, it should look like this when lit up
