I'm doing the front end swap from '00 to the '01-'03 look so I did this blinker mod this past Saturday. Really easy if you follow the directions provided by STL and I'm happy with how it turned out. However, I'm still not sure what to do with the extra bulbs though. I tried taking the bulbs out and taping over the end of the connector like someone suggested earlier in the thread but all that did was make the blinker blink really fast like it does when you have a bulb that needs replacing. Right now, it's kind of just hangin out chillin behind the header panel. Should I just leave it there with the bulb in as long as it's not touching any wires?

Maybe I am missing something, but what extra bulbs? I didn't read all 18 pages of this, but at the start all you are doing is changing wiring...

I take it you're referring to the extra bulbs that are present on older Ranger front-end setups when you swapped to a newer front-end? I think that's worthy of a different discussion than just this mod. Try looking around for wiring diagrams of the '00 vs. the '01-'03 setup you're using now, and identify the different bulbs and how they're used.

Will this mod work with LED bulbs - also, my turn/DRL's are switchbacks, this shouldn't affect anything right?

I'm going to do this to my 99 this weekend. I love the alternating signals.
Also, if anyone has a quick guide for doing this on a 99, that would be nice to have.

And done. It does work, same process as the 2001+ models. Looks even better, I believe.
