Re: How-To: OHC Install
I have a gray ohc not sure if it works I just put it in my truck and hadn't gotten any wiring done when I broke the frame. I'll sell it for 25$ plus shipping that's what I payed at the scrap yard
----------
I also have a dome light from a crown Vic that I got bored and screwed the the ceiling in my truck just to fill the hole that was there. And I almost $h!t myself when I opened the door and the light came on. The crown Vic fed power through a whip. I saved the whip thinking I'll have to wire the dome light up but the Vic light gets power though the studs in he roof like the factory 95 ranger one did. So now it has a whip to feed the lights on an ohc. I'll sell that for 10 plus shipping. It's tan

For anybody that has any know how, I followed the tut to the T, and everything worked fine for awhile then I just noticed the ohc map lights don't come on when I open the door but my dome does and when I roll the switch all the way it doesn't either, but it does work when I hit the buttons?!?! one thought I had was later after the ohc install, I installed some lighted sun visors taping off the same power, so quick thought I was having was maybe not enough supply but then wouldn't the ohc lights not work at all? Any ideas or help would be appreciated thanks

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Gonna post similiar to this but if I roll the dimmer up to on the map lights come on and my switches work just not when I open the door and my mustang dome light comes on fine...
Did you verify the lights worked before? Mine didnt cause the cheap contacts they use in there are crap, had to go with buggmans led panel cause my contacts were beyond repair.
Also still having the temp issue, 10 drgees off roughly moved it again to further off to the side of the passenger fog light and still no go...

I am looking at getting an OHC for my 01, my friend has one from a 99 explorer limited with a sunroof. Is it ok that it's the type with the sunroof switch? I know it's not the best because I have a useless switch but other than that it should work fine, correct?
Thanks!

As far as I know it should. The console may be shorter or something... Not really sure. Just make sure there is a mounting bracket with it!

Thank you! I will make sure to get the mounting bracket too. Anybody else ever put the sunroof type in a Ranger? Just double checking.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
I pulled a sunroof version before and it didnt work. That could just be that it was a bad unit or it may be the fact it was a sunroof model.

Its simple
Put garage opener remote in ohc
Push button

Profit
Its just a cubby to put the remote in, you push the button, it pushes the remote button and the garage door opens

Lol, well he wanted to know about the button. I think he was confusing it with some of the new cars that you can program your remote to it

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Outside temp & direction (north, south, east, & west) you are traveling, & they have 2 map lights that also light when opening the doors.
