Just a couple of the ohc install part. Looking at yours however dont think I cut the liner back as far. Have to look at it again when I pull it off.

One of the bulbs was bad? Everything was working great when it left here....

if you have any questions on mine feel free to ask. I'll try getting the photo posted of my temp sensor placement after school today.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Anyone have issues putting the rear view back on? I can get it on the mount but cant move the mirror up enough to see out back, hits the ohc

yeah. The left one turns on fine. The right one won't. Could that be because of wiring?

why'd you remove your rear view? I just tilted it all the way down..

Lol. Well. I tried it out and actually, the right switch turns the left light on and the left switch does nothing.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Was in the way a bit, dont think its original for one but it wont move anymore and it tilts towards the floor. NO way to able it back up unless you maybe remove and lower the actual mount..

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Ah ok seems easy enough to get to. Thanks for getting those.
Yesterday I got some of the wiring done, completed was the easy stuff...dome lights just ran wires back to dome light. Then I got the rest of the wires ran across the headliner over to the passenger door, it was dark by then so today will try route those, worst is gonna be finding a spot for the 2 wires for the sensor...hate dealing with firewall.
Still not sure what to do about the mirror situation

Re: How-To: OHC Install
it's because your OHC is to far forward. the hoop in the front should be flush with your headliner all the way like this.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Hmm not sure there yet but if your going off my pic I posted that was because the front clips are not in yet...
On that note just got all the wires ran and all the dash ones hooked up and console lights up! Thats a achievement in itself for me and I got the sensor wires ran out to the engine bay but still have to hook that up.
So I figured ok I can mount up the ohc now so goto do so and for the life of me I can not get the dam clips to go in, I tried enlarging the slots still no go. Hard to see once you put it in place but thinking its the big ass stupid plug? dam near cut the thing off was so pissed but then realized be a bitch to take it off if need be later.
Since it decided to hit almost 90 last couple days I had to throw in the towel for now was cooking in side the cab

Best thing to do is take a drill and make sure they are long enough. The ohc grabs the bracket not the roof, so as long as you don't enlarge the brackets slots, you are good.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Well you might be right, so pissed right now after thinking this was going smoothly...Here is a couple shots, once I get the clips in place then you can see how much other end sticks down, looks alot more in the pic not quite that much. If I try to screw that end down it pops the clips...

Re: How-To: OHC Install
This quickly turned into a headache but I made the cuts for the clips longer and slid the mount back a little, redrilled some mounting holes and here is where I left it, got dark and trying to do this by flashlight was annoying on top of getting eaten by mosquitos!
Much better and its all screwed down and the clips held. Least the mirror fits again.
Tomorrow will be hook up the 2 wires for sensor and see if I gotta do the drive in circles thing and then give the interior a good vacuuming! POor thing is a mess and is their fiberglass in that liner? Itch like a mofo.
