I saw somewhere else that you can connect to the stock radio harness I believe? I have an aftermarket radio but the stock harness is still behind my radio so could I just tap into the wires for that? I'm new to all this wiring stuff and just trying to make sure I'm on the fit track before I waste any time or mess something up.

yes even with an aftermarket stereo you still have the same wires going up to the stereo harness. same wires will still be used. no changes.

Im heading to the JY today and am wondering how the OHC mount is secured to the expo. Is it just screws i can use my screwdriver for, or should i bring a drill, with a drill bit? (Rivet)

Small bolts. Sometimes torx bit. Or sockets will work.
