Anyone have issues with their wiretaps? I was having issues getting them to connect to the stock wires in the truck.

Can you post pics on how you are putting in wire taps and what is going wrong with them?

Yeah I'll get some pictures tomorrow after work. I honestly have no idea what im doing wrong. They look exactly like the pic's in the walk through, other then they're on the stock wires since I don't have an aftermarked h.u. yet.. Hell they even appear to be the same blue wiretaps that the op used..

Did you indentify your trucks wiring to make sure they are the right ones? I believe member Mfernandes did a write up on the ohc install on the older trucks

Lol. Ooh, gay joke burn! Haha but what are butt connectors? The only vehicle electrical I do is system installs and that's either splice n wrap w electrical tape or splice and solder depending on circumstances..

with those connectors you have to use a pair of pliers to squish the metal tab in more to punture the wires. (atleast thats what i had to do with the ones that came with my cab lights)

If your taps are done correctly (pushed the metal tab down all the way and connected to the right wires), and your ground is good, it could be the unit itself. Do the lights work on it? On mine the lights worked but a resistor was broken on the temp/compass circuit board, so the LED readout wasn't working.
