Re: How-To: OHC Install
I usually go with the ones that are closer to the year of my own truck. You can be safe with 97-01 OHC's thats how I do it but they are all pretty much the same.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
how hard would this be for a super noob? I wanna do it but I'm terrified about chopping up the head liner and messing with radio wires. Are all the wire colors the same for an 08? I wanna do it but I'm just worried i will mess it up.

There are a few holes to choose from on the firewall.

I tried a few but found the hood release cable to be the easiest option for running the temp sensor wire.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
I used the same spot where the main wire harness is going through.
You will need a metal coat hanger to assist you.

I bought 4 rolls of wire each one were 15 or 20 feet. Multicolor works best to keep things separated.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
so, i was at the hardware shop yesterday. got connectors and wire and the such. i got 20ft of trailer wire. 16ga 4 wires bonded with each other flat. 4 wires $1.29 per ft or $0.69 per foot per wire. and i can pull them all at once. anyway. i got the console mounted yesterday, ill be wiring it up today. so if all goes well. done this afternoon, it would be even better if it wasnt snowing outside, mounting the sensor while laying in 6in of snow sounds fun.
