Re: How-To: OHC Install
I put my remote in mine, you have to play with it a bit cause on the button their is 3 different sized bumps so line one up with your remote button and see which hits the button best. My case neither did and I had to put a piece of foam on the back of my remote so it would contact

Why do you have to connect wires to the radio?
----------
And why do you connect to the cruise control

You sir are correct. I was confusing it with a home link button that you program to operate your garage door.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Help!!!
I installed mine a while ago and have put off fixing it for a while now but my OHC display only works for about 2-3secs after I turn on or start the truck and it illuminates/displays every part of the display. Any help is appreciated. 2010 Ford Ranger

Re: How-To: OHC Install
That's the way mine was too, just make sure the front clips are nice and tight and you'll be fine. Mine has never come loose and I've been on some rough terrain.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
So how exactly do you wire this up to the gem, that is where I am lost at with this installation.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
All on the first page, has pictures of it to...
Gray/Black (GY/BK) - speed sensor (not used by some, but necessary) (goes behind the radio.)
Just use a tap connector and hook up to that gray/black wire, done.

Are these the wires behind the radio that I am tapping into? They are on a harness connecting into that black box behind and to the left of the radio. #22 being the console electronics power (yellow/gray), #33 being the console display dim (blue/red, and #8 being the speed sensor (gray/black). I mean the colors and tracers of those three wires match up with the three wires coming from the console harness, but I still would like to make sure before I go ahead and start making wrong connections.

Any ideas as to why my temperature is going up instead of down? Bad temp sensor or wires crossed ? It matched my other vehicle when I first imstalled in this afternoon but as the day goes it's going up and there is no way it's 94 degrees out now

I have about a dozen temp sensors if you need a new one.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Try moving it around to, might not like the spot its in and gets warmer there. Mine is pretty much always 5 degrees higher then what accu weather reads on my phone and I have moved that thing all over the place.
