Re: How-To: OHC Install
Anyone?
I went ahead and tried to hook all the wires together to see if that fixed it but no go the buttons still dont turn off the lights. They just flicker a bit when you push them...

Re: How-To: OHC Install
The buttons dont matter if the courtesy lights are on. Do they turn off with just the map light power?

Close your door when you're sitting in it and they should turn off if you wired it right... if they don't, then just hit the buttons because you might have them "on"

Re: How-To: OHC Install
So I woke up with some balls
I just got this far and came in for a mental break and to check on how far you cut back. I havent stopped sweating since I put the tip of the blade in the liner
That tab on the front of the metal mount, does that not do anything?

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Well guys I got er done! Wow glad that parts over with but still got alot of wiring to do. For now I just put it in with the back screws and left the clips not pushed in yet cause their a pain to get out and for some reason one side is fighting going in but it was ok before I put the whole console back together.
Going to wait for the wiring cause I have leds coming for the dash and trying to get my hands on one of those dimming mirrors, do it up right the first time.
Need to go back thru and see where you all put this sensor also.
I like it tho, cant wait to get it running

Got mine put in today... Cut a little bit too much on the passenger side toward the windshield. But it's all good, wiring is good and it looks good for something I did myself! Found out one of the bulbs was blown after I finished though lol.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
No its cause the front isnt clipped in so its not flush. What I was trying to say before I didnt clip it in cause I still gotta wire it so just left it undone for now. When they are clipped its nice and tight against the liner

Re: How-To: OHC Install
ok, the wiring is way easy. Just make sure you have enough wire to stretch where you want to go. I placed the temp sensor where the bumper and valence come together, so allow yourself a bit of extra. I did a "dry run" where i kind of ran the wires outside the dash and headliner to get an idea of how much i needed, and added a foot to that.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Thinking it should be easier then cutting but not a fan of wiring either, think the pain will be getting all the plastic pieces off and finding a spot thru the firewall, I had looked for a hole when putting the stereo in and couldnt find anything.
Need to go look over the dimming mirror wiring to, hopefully it isnt a pain.
Got a pic maybe of that install spot for sensor?
