Is it plexi glass that makes it green in the OHC?

Do you think it would work if I solder another one of those things back on?

I just received m OHC today from a member here & I was comparing the wiring on my OHC to the wiring list in this how-to-install & mine matches the alternate wiring except one wire is completely different. The first color in the alternate wires is listed red/black goes to the lt blue w/red & goes to radio or HVAC panel, except mine is lt blue w/red. Does that one just go to the lt blue w/red to the radio or the HVAC panel?. The sticker on the under side of the OHC the part # starts with F67F which I believe would mean it came out of a 96. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
Mike.

Mike.
Lt Blue/Red is what Ford uses for the dimmer circuit. It's been that way since at least 1980, because my F150 uses the same color wire for the same function.

Just use the Lt Blue/Red going to the radio. But any of the other LT Blue/Red wires that go to the dimmer switch, gauge cluster, HVAC, etc will work too.

I read and read and reread all the post's about doing the OHC install. I just finished. Took me 4 hours. Took extra care in cutting the liner. Cutting and installing took longer than wiring. Wiring was spot on per most instructions on here. Temp on console showed 55 degrees while truck sitting in shop. My temp gun showed 57 on the sensor. Close enough. Thanks to all who have posted here and to hendricksn who I purchased my OHC from.

I never used the template. I just took my OHC, lined it up perfect, then pushed real hard, took the bracket, lined it up with the outlined tab marks from OHC, then outlined bracket with a sharpie.

The link to temp hasn't worked for a very long time. If I could do it again, I'd use chalk to outline instead of sharpie.
