I have soldered the board that came with the ohc and also the replacement one and it's plenty of solder. I posted pics last time. And yes the whole display went out.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
the 2 - 513 resistors?
----------
Black (BK) - ground (mounted to the mounting bracket)
Yellow/Gray (YE/GY) - console electronics power (goes behind the radio)
Blue/Red (BL/RD) - console display dimmer input (goes behind the radio)
Green/Orange(GN/OR) - Map light power (goes to the dome light)
Black/Blue(BK/BL) - Dome light power (goes to the dome light)
Lt. Blue/White (BL/WH) - Temp sensor (front of the truck)
Lt. Blue/Yellow (BL/YE) - Temp sensor (front of the truck)
Gray/Black (GY/BK) - speed sensor (not used by some, but necessary) (goes behind the radio.)
Alternate OHC wire colors
red/black............. light blue/red - radio or HVAC panel
black.................. chassis ground
gray/yellow.......... yellow/black - radio
gray/black........... gray/black at GEM connector
black/light blue..... black/light blue at dome
light green/orange. light green/orange at dome
blue/white........... temp sensor
blue/yellow.......... temp sensor
i could be mistaken but only the top 3 wires need to be hooked up for the display to work, if nothing else was hooked up it should display zeros or 8s or something like.... i would double check all these connections, especially if you used t-taps.... cut, twist, tape, solder and or heat shrink tube.... also double check those wires where they go into harnesses on the ohc itself.

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Well, got it all hooked up. Unfortunately one of the clips isn't catching very well in the front but its holding up. Also, the temperature is a bit off. Which sucks cause I hooked it up and while there was a bunch of extra wire I was gonna cut off but I wanted to see if it worked first and it was pretty much right on. Then I shortened the wires and reconnect the sensor and now its about 13 degrees too low. Reading 42 degrees. Owell, everything else seems to work perfectly, I'll mess with it more tomorrow. If anyone else has an 04-06 and has trouble finding certain wires since they differ from other years, PM me, I found them pretty easily. Also, huge thanks for the tutorial and everyones input in this thread, helped a lot!

Re: How-To: OHC Install
Yea thats everything; the console, mounting plate, temp sensor, and wire pigtail. I thought about getting this one off ebay as well, but I ended up going to a junkyard and paid less. It wasn't one where you pull parts yourself and it was still less than most on ebay. If you go to a yard where you pull the parts yourself, you'll pay even less. Also, check out the classifieds section, theres a guy (I believe its pooleo) selling some.

I had a similar problem. What I did was pull the bulb connections out then reattach em. Seemed like the connection between them wasn't great. After I reattached em, they worked fine. Have you completely unscrewed the bulbs or just looked at em while attached?
