i plan on doing this sometime soon... my truck is an 89, im not worried dabout wiring, im not worried about cutting or drilling, but my truck probably doesnt have a speed sensor to hook up...right?

does anyone know how to change the color of the display on an overhead console i know i saw a thread on here of how to chang the factory radio thought maybe i could do it to my OHC

OK..... I had a spare ohc torn apart today. There is a green lens on the front of the display... the older(i believe) type has a blueish one..... I presume you could get a clear plastic one and then color it what ever color your heart desires and then re- install and the color would change.....

just a warning i read that the actual lighting is green so even if you put in a blue filter it will be green/blue and not completely blue.

Wow im waiting on my ohc to come in the mail, I was worried about cutting my headliner but after reading all this, im definitely more worried about the wiring!

Same here, I'm not worried about the headliner, measure twice cut once.

I think I printed out the first post and followed it for the wiring. All went well, of course I soldered and TESTED all my splices before I put it all to together.
Somewhere on here I wrote how much wire to use it is a good guide as far as how much each color will need.
Help is here.
