i did prices (2003fordranger1) ohc last night, so my second wiring diagram has been tested and it works. hopefully both of these can help people out. it does make it a little easier.

Great diagram...thanks for posting it.

My ohc decided to start acting up a few days ago. Temp would only change at start up in the morning. Would not change throughout the day at all. Next day, different temp in the morning, but no changes during the day. Very weird. Swapped out temp sensor, now it reads 30 degrees cooler. Wtf? Checked wiring....all good there. Took console apart and the right corner of the digital display looks fried. No idea how that happened. Ford wants $145 for the digital part....wow. Getting another used ohc Monday...hopefully this will fix the issue.

the only difference is the red/black wire is swapped out for the blue/red wire on mine. some ohcs have the red/black, some have red/blue. its the dimmer wire. all the others are the same. thanks for pointing that out.

Important note #2:
The PCM is in the PS firewall and has 3 connectors. The center connector has the VT/OR VSS wire at pin 1. The #1 pin location is almost always marked on the connector shell with an embossed "1" if you want to bother looking for it. The alternative is to simply find the color code. If it would be easier, the other end of the same VT/OR wire can be found at the Speed Control Servo on the PS inner fender behind the washer fluid reservoir. There are only about 8 wires to deal with at the servo.
I am a bit color blind, and was working on this tonight with poor lighting, but it appears to me on my 07 that there are 2 vt/or wires at the Speed Control Servo. There is one towards the top and one towards the bottom of the plug at the Speed Control Servo. Which one should I be tapping into? I was gonna tap into one and see if it worked and if not tap into the other, but figure it never hurts to ask...

VSS Violet/orange = pin 3, NOT pin 9.

Some connectors have all of the pin numbers marked. Some only mark the #1 pin and you can count from there to find #3.

Ok, I see that they were all marked, just couldn't remember the order by the time I got back to the house and computer. Will give it a shot. Thanks!!

I'm having problems with my OHC. I have all the wires hooked up correctly. When I turn on the vehicle it turns on just fine. If I hit the lamp button or open the door it will turn off. Also the lamp on it is very dim. I checked my voltage and I'm getting 12.4 where it should be. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Check this out...could be the issue:

I'm still having issues with my temp reading 30 degrees cooler. Tried another OHC and same issue...anyone?
