i was only able to get a few inches of the expo harness after the pigtail so i had to make my own 'complete' harness.

Yeah the harness I am am trying to get has about 18 inches free untill it goes into the dash next to the front "a" piller. Do i need the rest of that harness or would i be ok with just that amount of wire?

----------

O and do I need to wire in the sunvisor lights if i want it to work or can I just leave those unplugged?

-40 means that the temp sensor circuit is open. Recheck your connections. If the connections are good, the sensor itself may be open and need replacement.

Ok i got everything working great, but i dont think the temo sensor is reading. It will stay at the same temp like 51 all the time. What does this mean?

Is the console VSS wire tapped into the gray/black at the GEM? If not, the console will not update the temperature regularly.

i had made this wiring diagram a while ago but didnt want to release it untill i had tested it. i tried it and got my ohc in my truck yesterday. no problems at all. maybe this could help someone by making it a little easier. it did for me.
can a mod edit it into the original post?

Does anyone know if the OHC electronics will work in a 2nd gen? im not worried about possible mounting issues as i can probably rig it. just need to know if i have the wires to make it possible.
