can you give me the part # for the temp sensor so far ive only found the one that is kind of pointed and look like it has a nut on top i need the one that is doomed on top

arg...so my temp sensor isn't working right either...

at rest it tends to read 8-10 (or 15-20) degrees too warm... and today on my drive home in stop and go traffic it hit almost 100 when it was about 65-68 degrees outside

so wrong wiring, wrong sensor or wrong location (it's on the frame near the front of the right side wheel well)

check wires first

as an FYI for anybody else that comes along...moving the sensor up behind the headlight on the radiator support fixed it right up

I'm thinking the "at rest" errors were from reflective heat off the concrete driveway and the moving errors were from radiated heat off the brakes

I'm pretty sure that it uses your vehicle's speed to calculate the correct temp. I disconnected mine and it was reading 50 outside while it was actually 27

Ya it's simple to connect the speed sensor wire, it makes sure that the moving vehicle caculates and adjusts for the windchill and stuff like that, if you are are sitting still so it doesn't pick up the ambient heat from the engine..etc.
