just got new speakers but both my wires have stripes on them which one is + and which one is -?

Left Rear:
Grey/Light Blue +
Tan Yellow -

Right Rear:
Orange/Red +
Brown/Pink -

hey myke idk if ur still lookin at my other thread but the wires are in and they both work when not screwed into my door, but once i screw my right one in, they both dont work...

I don't need to replace any speakers, but do need to remove my door panels to install some sound proofing material in my doors. This is, BY FAR, the most concise, complete and most illustrative explanation shown ANYWHERE on the web! Just what I needed!

Would I have to use those same size speakers? I was looking at a stereo that came with four round 6.5"' speakers for my 00' 2-door Ranger XLT:

i got 6x9 300w sony xplod on the doors. i just cut a little of metal and bingo!!! it fit very well

You might have to do some massaging to get the basket to fit in the hole, or even trimming. If you want to use round speakers, your best bet is to pick up 6x8-5.75 adapter plates and going with that.
