I have no clue what a dual sport is!
I'm just curious because I have a 2000 XLT Sport.

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
Ohh, just check and see if it has torsion bars. If it does, you qualify

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
Quick question, when you say X amount of turns, do you mean that you turn the bolt all the way around so where the mark you made at the beginning goes around X amount of times or do you mean you turn it so far and each one of those counts as a turn?

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
One full turn, so the mark you made makes a 360 degree turn, and lines back up where it started.

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
Ok another question haha, I noticed that my driver side bolt was almost all the way in and my passenger side had a ways to go. Should i max them both out and un-crank them so they are even or should i have cranked them both the same amount of turns but still leave them un-even sticking out?

crank them evenly...the drivers bolt is gonna be in more to compensate for ranger lean lol...its because the driver and gas tank are on that side...my drivers side is maxxed and the pass has a way to go...i turned them 9 times

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
They are like that because of the ranger lean. You will need to crank the passenger side more.
you wont turn each one the same amount. Generally people go 4 on driver 6 or 7 on passenger side.

Does a bolt being bottomed out, meaning no more travel mean the torsion bar is twisted and needs replacing?
