The unloading tool lets you remove the keeping pin that holds the torsion keys in place. I haven't tried it but theoretically the bolts can be removed without any tools besides a socket & wrench.

I editted my previous post to be more helpful after messing around with the truck today.

Ok. I will have to try it again. But I swore it was starting to bend..

The jacking points in my manual says to jack it right at those lip things that are on my lower control arm.

Good so you know the LCAs connect to a front crossmember that supports the transmission. It might deform a little if you have a small platform on the jack. If you are worried then place some wood inbetween the member and the jack face.

What do you mean if it was totally ruined? My is partially stripped, I want to replace it, but I'm wondering if you need the special torsionbar tool to hold the key while you take the bolt out

*Ruined is when even the correct socket rolls off the bolt. A 13mm Metric socket like this guide suggests was too big and rounded my bolts. A 1/2" SAE fit perfectly. If the correct socket isn't working you may try using rounded bolt removal sockets like these (check to get the right size)http://www.sears.com/grip-tite-7-pc-...3&blockType=G3

*No. You can remove the torsion key adjuster bolt without an unloading tool. Like I said the unloading tool is for removing the keys once the adjustment bolts are already off.

Will cranking my torsion bars mess up anything? I would obviously get an alignment afterwards but my uncle and another relative said that it would mess up my truck. Said something about if I crank them and afterwards hit a bump it would throw me off or something of that nature.

i just jumped my truck with almost maxxed t bars. still drives straight, (i dont recommend jumping it)

the only thing it messes up is that front end components wear out a bit faster, ride is stiffer (remove sway bar helps alot)

dude ive ran MAXED tbars for 2 years now, and i only have to replace both lower ball joints. thats it

they may have already been going, as that was the first time they needed to be changed in the 4 years ive owned it. they went after a month of having them cranked.

Oh ok. My lowers look pretty good. They're at least 4 years old though. My uppers are less that a year old

yeah cranking them maxed does put abit of an angle on the lowers.. wearing them out faster than stock. but they are easy and cheap to fix anyways.
ive been hearing that youll get 3/4 the life out of the lower ball joints when they are cranked MAX lol so not bad
