more wear on your cv joints if you go too far and a little harsher of a ride..the max your should go is 2" and that i dont think will do too much wear

I have a question regarding this? I went to try and do this today, and my driver side bolt doesn't have a lot of thread left, the passenger side does. Is this normal? I mean its no where near even as far as the threads go. I know the truck doesn't already have one.

Hey I cant explain it that good but this is normal because your drivers side has a heavy gas tank if that makes sense.

after doing a tbar crank is a 4 wheel drive alignment necessary or a front end alignment. also i heard you must be careful when in 4 wheel drive with your tbar cranked it will REALLY eat them up?

I Did mine when i first got the truck and was stupid and maxed both out. My truck was a death sentence down the road. It ate up my buckshots cause i took no direction from smart people like yall. Went back measured from tire to fender. Rides like a champ now.

i just did mine my self this year! didnt know that is was this easy last year. but i did it and my driver side bolt is almost completely max but on the passenger side it is out about a good half inch or so. why does the driver side need so much more cranking? gas tank i understand truck is on "E" right now so it wasn't the excess weight of the tank. is my driver side T-Bar more worn out then the other one? could it be possible?

@Ranger EDGE.......would you recommend the rancho shocks, i need shocks bad and ive never shopped for shocks before, i dont stop for speed bumps or dips, i need a hardcore shock but that doesnt drain my wallet and reliable and durable, any suggestions??

So all i have to do is tighten the bolt in order to raise the front??

Yup crank the bolts meassure ground to fender to verify both sides are the same.

will need to crank driver side slightly more.

I kinda made a mistake the other day while attempting to do this, I put too much torque with the breaker bar on the passenger side bolt and the socket slid on the bolt head and basically theres not enough shape on the bolt head to turn it. I would still like to tighten it more but i just left it there. What do I need to do to fix this problem? Since it sticks out on that side a little I am considering filling 2 flat edges to the bolt head so I can turn it with an adjustable wrench. But I dont want to mess anything up worse so im hoping somebody with more knowledge can help me out here.

considering we have live axles, I cant see it being any harder on the cv shafts with the 4x4 engauged.

hey man I honestly did the same thing. what I did and it worked, dont know why put I went the next smallest size and got it to grab enough to turn it. you can try between 12 point and 6 points as well.

Got my tires and wheels installed today, the tire shop cranked the t-bars with an impact while it had weight on the frontend. It was cranked 1" by the tape measure. They then installed new cam bolts for the alignment then sat the front end back down. When they did it was actually 2" higher then. Now the frontend is higher than the rearend and I drove it 50 miles roundtrip shortly after they finished and it rides so rough like driving a tractor. The alighnment guy actually test drove it and said it drove great! What a moron! It pulls to the right while driving and braking. When I got home, I looked and noticed that the front shocks are extended as far as they would go. I am so P/Oed right now I can't see straight!! A place that does this everyday, day in day out can't see that they were extended that far?!! I told them when it was still on the rack that I didn't want the frontend higher than the rearend, I hate that look. I wish I had of known a little more about this type of front suspension before I asked if they could level it out some. I am going to take it back there first thing Monday and get a rental so I can get to work. Ugh!!! I can't believe that alignment guy told me it would settle in week. He knew it was wrong, I think he was just tired of working on my truck! I almost want to just take it to the dealer where I know the work will be done right and just not ever take it back there. (I know the guys at the dealer) They didn't even balance the wheels correctly. They are so bad out of balance right now that my truck literally 'bounces' at about 45mph with brand new BFG All-Terrain T/A KO's. I have had these tires before and they never had to be rebalanced! The tire guy when he was balancing them told me they were 'mud' tires and they might ride rough. I didn't think about it then but on the way home I remembered him saying that. THEY ARE NOT!! They are all terrain all season tires meant for light trucks and are meant for people that want snow and mud tread but want a non-harsh ride. Ok thanks for reading. My wife didn't want to hear me anymore tonight!

if i do 2 inches on all sides then i will still have that front end being lower than the back right? i want that for towing....

am i overthinking this? i know that i will get bigger tires (31s for now) and i dont want the back end to be touching the wheels if i tow a heavy load...can anyone shed some light on this?

im probably being paranoid but still id rather know than make a mistake

if I do this to my truck, it is reveseble, right?
