2008+ rangers are keyed different then older trucks. The amount of turns it takes you to level out is different then other years

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
So I kinda did this a while back without marking the factory position and I know I didn't turn them the same amount...(my bad) I was following different instructions from someone else...
To get 'er right can I just measure from ground to fender flare and make both sides the same? Do I need to have a full tank of gas in it? Half tank would prolly be the best right?

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
ive been told different things from the ground to the wheel well..but i think measuring from tire to wheel well would work as well

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
After checking it out tonight I had about 34.5" to highest point of the bottom of my passenger side fender flare. Driver side was 34.25". Also a quarter inch difference when checking from top of tire to highest point of the bottom of the fender flare.
Weird part is the Driver Side torsion bolt is already cranked to the max and the passenger side has about an inch left to be cranked...I guess I'm just gonna leave it at that and get the alignment done.

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
Well, just got done doing mine, Got another 1.25 inches or so. I had to crank the passenger side substantially more to get it to level out. My rear sits at 36.5 inches from the ground and I got the front from 34.25 to 35.5..the bolts started to feel shady so I stopped. It made a world of difference. the extra inch makes me actually have to kind of climb into it.
Worked well, Didn't F the ride up too bad. I would crank more but want to err on the side of caution.

The ranger lean is why the passenger side had to be cranked more
Ranger lean is due to the driver side having the fuel tank

Re: How To: Adjust Torsion Bars
Reckon I don't have this option with a 97 Ranger 2WD. Looked under the truck and it's quite a bit different than what I'm seeing?
If this isn't possible on mine how much would you say it would take to put a 3-4" lift kit on the front to level the truck out?
From the ground to bottom of the fender I've got 29 1/8" in the front and 33" in the rear.

Are there any disadvantages, risks, etc to doing this?
