How To: Easy Light Tabs! (hella fogs)

I couldnt find many specific threads with pictures on how to make your own light tabs. either i didnt search "hard enough" (which whenever anyone says that... theyre in the hellish depths of the site.) so here it is, this should work with most rangers that have a hole right next to the bumper bolt.

Hardware:
2 L brackets, i used 5x1 L brackets from Lowes/HomeDepot and cut them to size (about 1x1 on the smallest side, and 5x1 on the longest.)
2 - 1 x 5/16 hex bolts
2 - 1 x 5/16 hex nuts
2 - 1 x 5/16 washers / locking washers (i didnt use lockers, but probably would work well)
Various tools and wrenches

first off here are my lights, which are freakin awesome.

Next would be drilling out the holes that came pre-drilled on the bracket. i just used a conical step down bit for the furthest hole on the longest side for the lights and made sure they fit. as for bolting it to the bumper they should fit without modifying the bracket, but its as easy as drilling through that too to fit.

After that i tested the lights (i should have done that earlier.. but thats your own prerogative)



I personally have them on a relay where the "switched power" is the parking lights, so they come on with the parking lights, lights, and high beams (i am not an advocate of breaking the "law" so hook them up at your own risk)

Lol no I'm not. I just troll around when I get bored haha.

I guess it does show a good mounting point for the tab so that does help

Yeah man the real reason I posted this was for the mounting points, not many people realize where to bolt them up, or that you could go to home depot for brackets

This won't work to well with fiberglass though......
