I replaced the seal just shy of two months ago.
Still leaked in the same spot, about 1.5" past each side of the brake light. Finally took the headliner down enough to get a mirror in the channel between the brake light and inner roof. Dry as a bone so not leaking from brake light.
Looked a long time at the two drips. Noticed that at each point the welded seam was just a touch bowed in toward the cabin. Used a small plastic mallet to pound it out. Loosened the bolts across the top just in-case. It worked.
It was raining off and on when I did this.

This write-up just saved me $200. I'll be doing this next weekend!

I've never had any water in the cab, but I hear an air leak behind me some where. I think I'll tackle this pretty soon. Appreciate every one that takes the time and trouble to do these write ups.

Great write up and detailing.

I've a 96 XLT Supercab with a single panel slider and the headliner gets wet - dripping wet - even when there's nothing but the morning's dew on the exterior of the truck.

I've already replaced the seal around the 3rd brake light and it still leaks. So, I'm going to be popping the rear window out and using that Windo-Weld to seal it back up.

At the same time however, I'd like to replace the rubber piece that surrounds the window on its outside. The rubber is showing its age and this'd be the time to do that replacement.

But, I'm having a helluva time even finding the replacement part described - let alone listed.

Near as I can tell, the thing is a single piece of rubber moulded to go around the outer edge of the window and frame the sliding panel in the center.

Any help here on what that piece is called, if it can be replaced without replacing the rear glass entirely, and where to get the thing would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
