I was scared at first too lol trust me.

But as long as you follow instruction everything will go fine, and if it doesnt its usually reversable.

yes, but the IAC on a ranger is different granted, and wipe it good with Q tips.

also Hazard you are welcome to drop by and we can clean it along with your throttle body.

lol gas is to high now. But another question is there a gasket in-between the iac and the engine? if i take it off will i need to replace it with a new one if there is one?

Wrongo, there's an o-ring around each bore that seals everything up. You don't have to replace them, but make sure they're there.

They aren't on the IAC, they're on the intake plenum. Mine are blue.
