Now I had a thought. If you connected the wires like talked about for the aux conection but do it on the radio motherboard and then took the connector that conects the cd and radio and disabled the rout and lout connections. Then ran a wire from the 2 places on each board but put a switch in each wire. Wouldn't that take out the need of a blank cd because when you turned the switches off it would cut off the sound from the cd player.

Possibly just seems like a lot room for something to go wrong just seems a lot easier to make a silent disc

sent from my IPod using the FRF app

Yeah but if you're good at soldering then it shouldn't go wrong. Plus I would put the 2 switches and the aux port in a small project box so they would be neat and wouldn't mess up.

hey go for it my only recommendation would be to use a double pole single throw switch so you only have to have 1 switch to turn it on and off

Yes, I can take me unit back out and post some pictures. I only seen the rest of the thread and noticed people having some difficulties. But i will gladly help out what i can.

As for the blank disk, I am using a burnt disk with music on it and once i plug up my iPhone to it the disk music dims down and once the music is playing from my iphone (press play) the CD music is unheard and doesn't interfere with the iphone music. This is because the L out and R out that you soldered on to you are now making a short circuit when you hook up to your device, and the disk music almost gone and replaced with AUX music.

Yeah that's what I thought first but I didn't know how easy it would be to find those. I haven't seen one before but I guess I have never really looked for one

Would love to see how you did this! I have to mess around with the radio i messed up to see if i can get the cd player functioning again, i think one of the pins i tried to solder to got pulled up. But if i get it functioning again i want to take another crack at it. Pictures would be great!!
