Your radio should have multiple circuit boards and you where looking on the one hooked to or for the cd player. For mine it was written just below the harness that connects it the main board. Who knows they may have decided to save money and not mark it

yeah, it was nowhere on the circuit board... I looked on the units main board and also on the board on the CD player. Its supposed to be where the ribbon cable connects to the CD player on the CD player unit itself. I looked on top and bottom of the circuit board. Got your old unit laying around?

As long as you don't break anything taking it apart you shouldn't be able to break anything just put it back the way they came out

After you do this mod, can you still play normal CDs through the CD player?

Holy crap this is genius. I'm going to have to get comfortable soldering things...

Only question is that my CD player has been crapped out for a while (technically still works but struggles to play any cd without continuous skipping). You think this would stop this mod from working?

Does this only work on a stereo with a cd player cause mine don't have one.

I have not had a chance to look at an 05 stock radio i have only done it to my 00 but it should be somewhere around the harness that goes from the cd player to the rest of the radio

I will have to see if i can get a hold of some other years to check them out

So you are saying whatever slot the silent disc is in is the slot you will hear the auxiliary player on. Will this mess anything up soldering on it I just don't want to ruin my 6 disc changer but dont want to pay for a new player just to get an aux plug which I desperately want for rhapsody on my phone.
