What do the instructions say? If something happens I and FRF are not responsible for any damage you cause.

yea in one ear and out the other. these write ups are not always right. Happen with the fog mod told the 01 guys to bend the wrong fuse. So your instructions aren't always right.

Why the hell is there a paint looking substance over my bottom torx bolt? Literally tried scraping and grinding this dumb shit Off. No luck, my guess is it's because of a warranty that could be voided if you were to try to tale off the maf sensor. All I really care to know Is how the hell do you get the bolt out of the bottom. Just wasted a hour of my life for no solution. It's in your pix stl the one of the maf sensor with thE bolts in yellow.

Thanks

I am seeing the same thing, did you ever managed to get it off? I have spent the last hour scrapping.. Maybe I should use small drill and drill it out? Thanks guys!

I've never done it, never knew it was recommended.
Where can one get MAF cleaner, and what cost?
Might have to look into this when my weekend rolls around.

My truck was hard starting, I had no idea what it was. I did follow this MAF cleaning procedure and my 2004 Ford Ranger starts wonderful now. I was really surprised it cured my hard starting issue. I also replaced my air filter when I did this. Thanks for all the help, it's much appreciated.

has anyone done this on a 93-97 with the round airbox? mine is in round part of the plastic airbox with the wires going through the plastic round part and i dont have enough room on the inside to even get the aluminum round piece out. how do you get it to the point where i can reach it on a 96?
