Re: Gauge cluster question
So, after some checking, even with good brushes and a replacement VR it shows the alternator is producing about 14 volts at idle, which is no Bueno. I'm guessing that low voltage has a lot to do with the gauge issues I'm experiencing. I used a gps speedometer app and found that I was roughly 5 mph faster than what the speedometer was showing (speedo showed 40, gps showed 45.2) and guess what? Turns out the tires on the truck are supposed to be 14", not 15". Hopefully my stupidity will help someone else on here.
