Re: How To: F-250 Horn Install for Single Horned Ranger
My girlfriend's dad deals with obsolete/new Ford parts. He got me a bunch of new parts for me to fix my truck up for my birthday. He probably had some laying around but my guess would be around 40 dollars.

Re: How To: F-250 Horn Install for Single Horned Ranger
i have a question - your plug is a 2-wire + & - correct? i took my horn off the other day & apparently it has a single wire to power it from the headlight harness & i guess it just grounds to the frame. imma have to custom rig my new horns when i get them i guess lol

That's really odd, I thought 99's already had a dual note horn. At least my 01 and 04 already had them. I will say I know they changed the 04 about halfway through the year and eliminated some of the wiring but my 04 was actually built in 11/03 so I lucked out.
You will be able to clip the fancy plug off and replace it with a different type of quick disconnect. Shouldn't be too complicated.

Re: How To: F-250 Horn Install for Single Horned Ranger
i snooped around & figured out that my f250 & dad's 350 use the same horn posted above, so i just bought a $13 connector off rockauto in case i need to swap around lol. should have it all together soon!
here's the part if anyone needs:
https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/mor...nid=600&jpid=0

do you have a test light? That'll probably be the quickest way to find out. Unless you have a continuity tester.
