Default Heater wont work (how to diagnose and fix)

Hey guys,

I dont want anyone to be out in the cold this winter so I made a video on how to diagnose the heating system in our trucks. I go through, step by step, each common problem that causes you to not have heat in your truck (and this can be applied to any vehicle).

Let me know what you think. Also, if your car doesnt have heat and you use this video, let me know what your problem was!

I follow your channel and I must say you have some nice vids. Helped me out when I changed my rear diff fluid and did my rear brakes. Now I just have to change my blower motor resister and aim my headlights

Thanks for taking the time to make your videos! I find videos like yours invaluable in fixing my truck. Just recently flushed a friends heater core on her 99 taurus. She didnt have heat for almost 2 years...single mom problems. Watched a vid on youtube, hooked up some hoses and blew that sucker out, flushed it, reconnected, flushed system. She had hot heat for her trip back to chicago and her 3 year old slept for 3 hours!

So again, thank you for putting the effort into making videos to help us all out!!

I love your videos I don't know as much about cars as I would like to but I actually want to become a mechanic.. and watching your videos has helped me get over the mentality that it's so complicated you have to pay joe blow at pepboys your entire paycheck to have it fixed lol.

Anyway I have a quick question. My heat works fine and everything but even in the summer my temp gauge never goes up even if it's like 90 degrees and I'm driving around all day it stays below the cold line... Would that be the thermostat? Or something to do with the fan maybe? I guess I never thought much of it I figured cold was a good thing and was certainly better than overheating.
