If you watch the video, you need to remove the bolt and then to get clearance, you need to lift the caliper out of the way a little. Then you can pull out the guide pin.

If you do this yourself, it will cost you $120! That is a savings of $180 plus you learn how your car works and you use a good set of pads and rotors. Let me know what you think of the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlbFFq60Tec
Hi great video. Do you by chance have link for a video on how to do a 2wd 2000 ranger. The rotors are inclusive with the wheel bearings and I'm not keen on the whole re packing wheel bears part. It seems easy I'm just not sure. I'm going to attempt a rotor, brake pad, and wheel bearing change on Tuesday. Thanks.

well, imo if you are capable of packing a brand new bearing, then you can repack an old one that is still in good condition. A lot of people buy a new one only to have it burn up in 5k miles. then they repack the original one & never replace it again. lot of opinions on it, but i've never had a repacked bearing go bad on a vehicle before. knockonwood

another thing, be sure & get you seals at the parts store too. the 2wd spindle is easy, just get the seal.

edit: i meant axle, not spindle lol! i have faith in you!
