Thumbs up Power Steering Flush

Hey guys,

When is the last time you even checked your power steering fluid?
This is my newest video that will show you how to flush your power steering fluid:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0fiZCHz5ew

Let me know what you think!

**Also, if the video was helpful, give it a “thumbs up” on YouTube (it helps me out, thanks)***

Just suk it up with a pump every other oil change and fill. Nothing to it.

This method won't get everything out of the system at once, but it will work over time. I usually just use a turkey baster to suck out the fluid from the reservoir every now and then.

I use ATF fluid since it's pretty much the same as power steering fluid, just dyed red so I can tell when it starts to leak.

That is a lot of power steering fluid changing... It is def a good method if you want to change some fluid but it wont get all of the bad fluid out.

I used your video last weekend...thanks for the work and effort to help us! My fluid looked like burnt engine oil...thin like water and BLACK!

I had a hell of a time, not sure why actually. I got air in my lines real bad and it would shudder when turning the wheel. I of course did the cold turn back and forth and engine started back and forth up on stands. During this process...the cap blew off and shot ALL the fluid out all over the engine compartment and even all down the side of the truck. It was a MESS! I cleaned all that up and tried a refill and start over...it would not take the fluid. I could only put about 1/8 quart in and it would be full but would not suck up into the pump...level stayed the same and squealed bad!

Then I just got mad...filled it up to the cap, started it and turned full range back and forth as fast as I could. Then it took the fluid and smooth as silk! I have about 150 miles since then and steers like a brand new truck!

Every oil change suk it out and refill. You will always have fresh fluid in it....

That is overkill. You dont need to do it that often. Most service manuals say around every 30k miles and some even up to 100k miles.

Great video I just had a new pump put it so I obviously don't need to do this right now but I'll definitely be using it in the future thanks!
