Thumbs up Airbag Light (how to fix)

Hey guys,
So I know this topic has been covered, but I wanted to make a video to show people how to diagnose and fix the air bag light in our trucks!

Let me know what you think.
If the video is helpful or you like it, please give it a "thumbs-up" on YouTube (it helps me out).

Thanks guys!

Would not recommend spraying WD-40 in a electrical connection.
As you stated use electrical contact cleaner.

You could also link people back to FRF for replacing the air bag light. I have made a how to for doing that.

Why not hitting the connection with a tad of wd40? It is just a light spray, no accumulation, cleans the connection of tarnish, and evaporates over a short period of time... I have been doing it for a while and only had good results. Im just curious, thanks!

It leaves oil behind that collects dust and dirt. Not good for electrical switches.

CRC makes a cleaner for electrical connections.

Gotcha. Doesnt the oil prevent future rust/tarnish?

My airbag light was flashing at me. I didn't know it was a code, I just knew something was wrong. Well it went away on it's own so everything should be good. Right? Right?!?!

If the light is not flashing there is no way to know what the problem was.
if it has not come back on then it is safe to say it is fixed its self. More thrn likely it was the connection under the seat.

My 2 cents....

I use Deoxit brand cleaners for anything electrical. Has never failed me personally or professionally.

It is probably the clips under the seat like in my video. If the airbag light is off, your system is fine.
