How to figure out where belt squeak is coming from
Hey guys,
So I had a problem with a squeaky belt (actually a pulley) and wanted to show everyone how I diagnosed it. I know squeaky belts are annoying and its tough to find the problem sometimes. Hope this video helps.
Let me know what you think and if you can, "Thumbs up" the video on YouTube. It helps me out!
Thanks guys!

Re: How to figure out where belt squeak is coming from
SUPER Helpful thread, thanks Man!
unfortunately I replaced both my belt and idler pulley and it still has this chirping noise at slow speeds. Any ideas on what it could be?

What is your obsession with WD40? Stop using WD40 and use the correct products.

I say whatever works STL, but you are correct. There is pulley grease or oil I think it's called you can use to help with noise

Everyone has WD40 so it is a good spray to use if it works. In this case, it works fine to quiet the belt until you fix your problem.

I actually use armorall as a belt dressing for this purpose. Makes the belt more pliable and softer and quiets things right down. ;-)
