Alot of times the connectors on the Silver pannel don't match your stock wires, so this How to will adress this. I've had alot of people PM me about doing this and no one ever really seems to understand what I'm talking about when I tell them how to do it so I took some pictures and will make them into this how to.
Tools Needed:
- 7 MM Socket
- Flathead Screwdriver
- Dikes, or other cutting instrument
- Silver HVAC panel
First remove your radio bezel using the 7 mm socket, Remove Radio bezel. Then remove the 4 bolts holding in the HVAC pannel using the same 7mm Socket. Disconnect electrical connectors carefully, do not break them.
Now, take your stock HVAC and silver one and remove the knobs.
Now take your Flathead screwdriver and insert it into the holes where the snaps are using care to pry the snaps apart one at a time, until the faceplate comes free.
Repeat step with other HVAC panel.
Now take the back from your stock panel, and the silver faceplate and line them up, but don't try to snap it in just yet. Now you will find the tab that needs to be removed in order for this to work.
Now cut that little mofo off.
Last, snap your new faceplate on
Re-install knobs, and put back into truck
