would a new filter aid a truck running rough?

Could aid in it a little. Filters are cheap anyways

Thanks for the instructions and videos. Had my father in law replace my fuel pump the other day, I replaced the fuel filter today after reading and watching the videos with no problems and in about 5 min. I am not much of a car guy, but it was easy and now the truck runs great, thanks!!!

So I take it that you just pressed in on the clips using your fingernail?

I just pressed the clips with my thumbs and they came off no problem.

the manual shows the fuel pump fuse in 50b but theres nothing in that slot as far i can see. but there is a block like fuse in 50a. Which in the manual shows there should be nothing.

look under the dash (towards the right)
You'll see a switch (inertia switch)
get a small hammer and give it a few good taps till you hear the spring go "BOING"
try to start truck
now change fuel filter
