Default How To: Coil Pack Upgrade

Tools you'll need
8mm socket
7mm socket

1. Disconnect Neg. battery cable. 8mm

2. Disconnect the plugwires

3. Remove the two 8mm nuts from the left side and the two 7mm bolts from the right side.

4. Disconnect the harness connector

5. Remove the coil pack noting it shows the proper wire locations

6. Carefully follow this sequence backwards to install new pack.

I hope this is helpful to all any feedback on this post is appreciated.

hey how do you know which set to get?
All 3 of these fit my truck ('94 XLT 3.0l V6)
What's the difference between these?

You look at the version you have. Follow the plug wires to the coil, check it for a connector that comes out of the top. If it doesn't have it then the next hurdle is too easy. The one on the far right is for a vehicle with a distributor. If you have a distributor then you would need it. but if your wires go to a black pack then you do not have a distributor. HTH
