I like my 2000 3.0 Ranger with a 3" lift 2wd. I had bought a Toyota 2011 Tacoma plain jane but my son needed a car and I loaned it to him.
I've had to work on the Ranger a good deal but I just like driving it. Some of the wacko bright but worse, misaligned fog and headlamps are part of that. Sitting higher seems to cut down on some of that.
I guess I like working on cars. I bought a '93 Mazda B2200 that has bad rings. It is carbureted and has a distributor. Less smarts, less EMP victim...
The original owner thought it had major problems but I found it had too much oil in it and was fouling the plugs. After a short time driving it it started smoking and so... rings. We will rebuild or replace with a rebuilt stock motor.
Years ago I had a Datsun that sat in a yard for several years and the too much oil and plugs was the only problem. That one was $500 I think. I drove it a few years until rust ate through at the upper windshield edge.
